In the period December 2009 – March 2010 AEPLAC together with ICHD and EU AG initiated an assessment of the extent of counterfeiting and piracy in Armenia. Based on independent survey, it will serve as the basis for policy advice to be formulated by the EU Advisory Group to Armenian authorities in the DCFTA context. In October 2009 AEPLAC in cooperation with ICHD conducted survey on European integration awareness among Yerevan residents. This opinion poll indicated the level of knowledge about European integration, revealed the expectations and fears of citizens in this regard and specified information needs of various society groups. Apart from measuring the level of public awareness, the survey tracked the evolution of public opinion on various EU-related subjects compared to earlier and on-going studies, including those conducted by AEPLAC in 2007 and launched by the EU (Eurobarometer 69) in 2008.
